Private Capri boat tours for a group of 6–12

Make the departure port the first line of your shortlist. A tour mentioning Sorrento, Capri and Positano can offer several starting options; it does not mean every booking collects you from every town. For a group, moving everyone to the wrong harbor can be more disruptive than choosing a slightly different boat.

A boat day or a day ashore?

Decide whether your priority is swimming from the boat, exploring Capri on foot or combining both. Ask how much time ashore fits the selected duration and what happens to the itinerary if a popular stop is busy or unavailable. A list of possible sights is not a promise to visit every one.

Make fuel and landing costs visible

Keep the boat charge separate from fuel, landing or port costs and optional admissions until you know which are included. A comparison based only on a “from” price is especially weak when the chosen departure, boat or group size changes the quote. Ask the operator for one complete total for the itinerary you actually want.

Reserve the right vessel for the group

A twelve-person booking limit does not establish twelve covered seats or equal comfort for everyone. Ask for the selected vessel, boarding steps, toilet access and shade. If someone plans to stay on board during a swim stop, make that part of the boat decision rather than an afterthought.

Three questions before you book

  1. Which port and meeting point apply to this option?
  2. What is the full total including fuel and our planned stop ashore?
  3. What alternative is offered if grotto access is unavailable?
